Proud to Support the Umbro Cup

30th July 2007

The 2007 UMBRO International Cup took place in Manchester commencing on 21st July. The tournament is supported by UMBRO who are committed to supporting football at every level from their association with professional players to amateur and grassroots. This is the 15th anniversary of the tournament which is now part of the prestigious tournament group – a co-operative of the best soccer tournaments from around the World.

The tournament attracted over 400 teams from at least twenty-five different nations. A major plus point is that the event takes place on the immaculate pitches on the Manchester University Playing Fields – all on one big site – which helped to create a truly festival atmosphere.

Redyset were pleased to provide their revolutionary portable Junior IGOALS for all the pitches on the mini Soccer day which took place on Saturday 28th July. The eventual winners from the very competitive U10’s trophy were not crowned until 7.30pm when Bruin FC from London beat Leven AFC from County Durham.

“As a large tournament organiser we found the speed of erecting the goals amazingly simple and quick. They are the best goals we have used for this and will be using them in all future mini soccer tournaments” says David Shepherd, Tournament Director.

Redyset have committed to the 2008 UMBRO Cup.
