Soccer in the Sand ... and Sun!

Soccer in the Sand is a company that will host youth soccer tournaments on the beach. The aim is to bring sand soccer not only to the players in Southern California but throughout the United States.

The tournaments are aimed to bring players and families together in a safe and fun atmosphere while enjoying the game of soccer in the sand! Sand soccer is played on a smaller field and due to the size of the pitch and number of players (4 + goalkeeper), everyone will get more touches on the ball which allows them to try new moves and show off their skills.

Chris Lemay who is the owner of Soccer in the Sand, is a NCAA Division 1 Coach and also a USSF “A” licensed coach in the US. His sessions include skill work, fitness, passing and receiving, finishing, diving headers, volleys and bicycle kicks! He believes everyone could use a break from the daily routine and enjoy sand and sun – he evens runs a Soccer ‘Moms’ in the Sand programme.

All the while safety and fun is the objective – which is why Chris uses IGOALs for his Soccer in the Sand programmes. Whilst this may not be possible during the winter months in the UK, this is a great opportunity for those long summer holidays.
